Two Maine museums are showing Carl Sprinchorn (1887–1971). The Ogunquit Museum of American Art's show runs through November 1, and Bates College Museum of Art's show of over seventy works runs through December 19. A joint catalogue accompanies them.

Sharif Bey's ceramic and mixed-media Guardian and Crown Series draw on the Benin Bronzes, ceremonial masking and Moai heads. Sharif Bey: Homecoming at The Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh pairs his work with pieces by Warhol and Basquiat and runs through October 12.
